Biography

Sergio Bové is an Argentinian Spanish composer and performer based in Madrid. After years dedicated to contemporary music, Sergio Bové has expanded his work beyond the limits of music itself. In addition to music, he currently finds his sources in several disciplines different from it, such as visual arts, philosophy, science and technology, as well as in the observation of nature, reality and the everyday that surround him. Nowadays he seeks to find conjunction among these sources, where music is not understood exclusively as an auditory but as a field of activities with mutual feedback between them. Not only does he include traditional musical instruments in his work so as to accomplish these ideas, but today he also works with different tools such as everyday sound objects, video-mapping and live performance computer programs, like Pure Data and MAX/MSP7.
